Each student is issued a Chromebook and charger at the beginning of the school year.

Students are responsible for properly caring for these items all year long.

 

Elementary students might not bring their Chromebooks home at the beginning of the year. For clarification, please reach out to your student's teacher.

 

🔐 Chromebook Use & Responsibility

• Device Identification: Name labels must remain on both the Chromebook and charger at all times.

• Device Sharing: Students should only use the device assigned to them. Devices should not be shared with friends, siblings, or family members.

• Daily Charging: Chromebooks must be charged every night and brought to school fully charged each day. Middle school students who forget or fail to charge their devices will be charged 200 Kickboard points (or receive lunch detention if they do not have enough points) and will be issued a loaner device.

• Account Security: Login credentials must remain private. If a student shares their password or uses another student’s login, they will be referred to administration and held responsible for any actions taken under that account.

• Care & Neglect: Students are expected to care for their devices at all times. If a Chromebook is left unattended and damaged, the student will be responsible for the repair or replacement cost.

 

💻 Chromebook Protection Plan (2026–2027 School Year)

This optional $50 protection plan is automatically added to all student accounts for convenience and is available to pay via the Parent Portal. Please note that this is separate from the required technology fee that applies to all students.

 

The protection plan does not go into effect until the $50 fee is paid in full. If the fee is not paid by October 1st, it will be removed from your account, and the option to purchase coverage for the year will no longer be available.

 

What the Protection Plan Covers

• ✅ 1st accidental damage: 100% covered

• ✅ 2nd accidental damage: 50% covered

• ❌ 3rd and any additional incidents: Not covered

• ❌ Intentional damage: Never covered under the plan

 

💸 Out-of-Pocket Costs Without Coverage

• Chromebook Replacement: $275

• Lost/Damaged Charger: $50
